Our Four Points
We seek to carry out our mission through a strategy that centers around four basic points. Our four points help to frame our discipleship process. We desire to see lives transformed as people encounter the Gospel, and to see people who live in true community propelled outward, declaring and demonstrating the Gospel. We believe strongly in Jesus’ words, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He has invited us to be a part of His work here, both in Acworth and Cartersville. The mission of Four Points Church is to make disciples as we share and apply the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
LOVE
GOD LOVES US.We know this because He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins and rebellion (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). When a person comes in contact with a love as great as this, they are forever transformed.
At Four Points, everything begins with this great LOVE. Without it, we have no message or reason to exist. But with it, we have a powerful force capable of melting the hardest heart. It is our desire to drench all that we do with a sincere LOVE for God and an honest and real LOVE for people who need to experience it. Like Jesus said, we want to love God and love people (Matthew 22:34-40).
DEVOTION
WE LOVE GOD.Love always leads to DEVOTION. It’s why people get married. They love, so they commit their lives to one another.
At Four Points, we want to build mature Christians. DEVOTION helps us take the necessary steps to deepen our faith. Like the first church in the book of Acts, we devote ourselves to the study of the Scripture, to worshipping with other Christians as a unified church, to preaching and teaching, and to prayer (Acts 2:42). It is our commitment that you never leave a service at Four Points without growing in your understanding and worship of Jesus, so you can leave and serve Him more thoroughly.
PASSION
WE LOVE OTHERS.Every mature organism is capable of reproducing itself. PASSION is what causes a mature Christian to live as a beacon of light in a dark world (Matthew 5:14-16).
At Four Points, we fully understand the mission that Christ gave to His Church (Mark 16:15-16). We are the stewards of the greatest hope that mankind has ever known. We will not cower and we cannot be silent (Acts 4:20). We gladly leverage our temporary lives for the eternal purposes of God (Philippians 1:21).
LEGACY
LOVE LIVES ON.Great men who build great organizations begin with the end in mind. Their legacy has a lasting impact on people whom they have never met nor known.
At Four Points, it is our desire to so love God and others, devote ourselves to God, and live passionately for Him, so that our children will be quickened to continue to carry the Gospel torch long after we are gone. May all future generations in our city, surrounding areas, and the world be impacted by Jesus through our efforts for Him.
